Focal Vestia N°2
3-way floor-standing speaker
The flagship model in the Vestia range, Vestia N°2 is a bass-reflex hi-fi speaker that combines the elegance of a sober design with exclusive Focal technologies for high-definition sound. The sloping stands create a soundstage centred on the listener, for even greater immersion and emotion, in stereo or home cinema.
FOCAL TECHNOLOGIES
The Vestia N°2 loudspeakers feature a Slatefiber cone, made from recycled carbon fiber in our French workshops. This membrane is the source of detailed sound. The TAM "M" profile tweeter enhances the treble.
AN ALL-ENCOMPASSING BASS
Vestia loudspeakers are front-ported for greater frontal impact, and rear-ported for an all-encompassing bass: a bass-reflex profile that enhances the depth of the soundstage.
TIMELESS DESIGN
Leather-effect fronts (black or white) and three elegant finishes (Black High Gloss, Light Wood and Dark Wood) bring singularity and character to loudspeakers and the living spaces in which they are installed.

The Vestia N°2 pairs clean, expansive bass with an exceptional vocal range, a deep three-dimensional soundstage and unusually smooth, sibilance-free treble. The Ear found this three-way floorstander equally compelling with music and cinema, delivering lively scale, convincing timing and high-SPL authority without sacrificing finesse.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Clean, tight and surprisingly expansive bass integrates exceptionally well with the overall presentation.
Exceptional midrange reveals vocal nuances and clearly separates instruments within small ensembles.
Delicate, well-controlled treble avoids the sibilance often associated with metal-dome tweeters.
Deep, tall, highly involving soundstage and impressive dynamic impact suit both stereo and home theatre.
&
Cons
Rear-port bass can become overly generous close to a rear wall, particularly with movie soundtracks; more space or port bungs may help.
Cabinet finish and terminal quality reflect cost-saving measures at the price point.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 94/100
Reviewers found the Vestia N°2 unusually complete and entertaining, combining substantial yet controlled bass with an open, refined top end. Its convincing vocals, expansive three-dimensional presentation and willingness to play loudly make it well suited to both focused stereo listening and home cinema.
Bass
94/100
The Ear heard bass that was clean, tight and more expansive than expected from speakers of this size, with satisfying depth and impact. Low frequencies were praised for their integration with the rest of the presentation, though rear-port output can become generous near a wall and may benefit from more space or port bungs for movie use.
Mid
95/100
Vocals were a particular strength, with the review panel describing an exceptional midrange that revealed expressive nuances in Cher's voice. Instrumental lines and players in Booker T. & the M.G.'s small ensemble were clearly separated, while timbre and rhythmic communication remained realistic and engaging.
Treble
94/100
The metal-dome TAM tweeter impressed the reviewer with a delicate, well-proportioned top end rather than an aggressively bright balance. It was notably free of male or female sibilance, with controlled detail that led the reviewer to call it the first metal-dome design they could comfortably live with.
Soundstage Imaging
95/100
The Vestia N°2 created a hugely deep and tall stage on the material used for listening, with an almost three-dimensional sense of presentation. Reviewers also found the staging highly involving, and noted that positioning nearer the rear wall could add further apparent depth.
Dynamics
94/100
The speakers were praised for pace, timing and the greater sense of involvement expected from a capable floorstander. At higher listening levels they remained highly impressive, producing enough physical scale and impact for the reviewer to remark that the floor was moving.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
88/100
The available review evidence points to thoughtful engineering, including a dedicated midrange, twin bass drivers, a waveguided tweeter and aerodynamic port shaping intended to reduce noise. The raked aluminium base plates and spikes provide stable support and driver time alignment, although the review says little about cabinet finish or long-term durability.
Value for Money
95/100
At approximately $1,499-$1,799 per pair, The Ear explicitly called the Vestia N°2 a value-for-money speaker and a class leader in its sector. The reviewer felt its natural, refined and involving sound made it easy to recommend for both two-channel music and home-theatre use.
