Focal SUB Air
Flat bass-reflex subwoofer
The intense and deep sound of the Sub Air complements all 5.1 systems. The wireless technology makes integration into interiors easy, removing all constraints due to cable length. The flat and compact design allows you to fit it into all kinds of spaces.
INTENSE BASS
The Sub Air's 21 cm loudspeakers and integrated 150-watt BASH® amplifier deliver deep, punchy bass. Add to this the benefits of the bass-reflex profile, which increases the power handling of the loudspeaker and contributes to optimal, balanced bass diffusion in the listening room.
INTELLIGENT
Easy to install, easy to use: Sub Air wakes up when you tell it to, and switches off automatically when there's no sound. Thanks to a wireless link via a discreet transmitter box that connects to the back of the amplifier, you no longer need to deal with cables.

Focal SUB Air brings fast, impactful bass to space-conscious home cinema systems, pairing an 8-inch cellulose-pulp woofer with a remarkably slim bass-reflex cabinet. HomeTheaterHifi found it especially effective for TV playback, while its wireless placement flexibility, LFE input and solid construction make integration satisfyingly straightforward.

Cons

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
Bass
88/100
Reviews describe the Sub Air as capable of significant low-frequency output with fast, impactful bass; frequency specs (-6dB at 35Hz, 8" driver) match that characterization. Review also notes limited headroom at high levels, so while extension and control are very good for a compact bass‑reflex design, it is not reference-class compared with much larger subs.
Dynamics
82/100
The review repeatedly calls low-frequency sounds 'fast and had impact,' indicating strong transient response and micro/macro dynamics at typical listening levels. However, the reviewer notes the system 'did start to labor' at higher levels, which reduces the dynamics/headroom score slightly.

Integration
86/100
Reviewer outcome language shows good integration with the Dimension soundbar: the combo 'brought to life the TV viewing experience' and 'excelled at playback of TV audio.' That practical success for TV and clear use of LFE/phase settings support a high integration score, though the comment about laboring at high levels implies some limits in extreme setups.
Build Quality
92/100
Reviewer praises robust construction; the Dimension's rigid 2.5mm brushed-aluminum chassis and the Sub Air's compact 8" bass-reflex cabinet are described as solid and well-made. Finish and mechanical design are reported positively, supporting a high build-quality rating.
Features Connectivity
86/100
Good set of practical tools: analog/digital inputs, LFE, wireless sub placement, and aptX Bluetooth streaming (16-bit/44.1kHz) are cited. The review also mentions DSP and phase control on the soundbar, plus front-panel ergonomics, giving the package useful and usable features for placement and setup.
Value for Money
80/100
Reviewer positions the Dimension + Sub Air as an excellent compact all-in-one solution for limited-space setups and TV/music use, which supports solid value at the stated price. No explicit 'no-brainer' or 'best in class' language appears, so value is good but not exceptional.
