Amplified and compact subwoofer
The Sub 1000 F subwoofer has been designed for Home Cinema use in the purest Focal tradition. A technological masterpiece, it has a 1113/16" (30cm) diameter Flax membrane bass speaker cone. The stiffness and lightness of this environmentally-friendly textile mean it produces an extremely well defined, distortion-free sound.
FOCAL KNOW-HOW
The 30 cm driver features a Flax sandwich cone, an exclusive Focal innovation. This flax cone offers greater timbre neutrality and sound definition, for an uncompromising listening experience.
POWER AND PURITY
Sub 1000 F incorporates a powerful 1000-watt BASH® amplifier, allowing the woofer to express its full potential. Its closed construction offers extended response in the bass range, compactness and absence of extraneous noise, for a pure, harmonious sound.

Focal’s sealed SUB 1000F delivers deep, controlled bass from its 12-inch Flax woofer, reaching down to 22Hz. Its substantial 21.5kg cabinet supports a composed, nimble transient response, while stereo line and direct LFE inputs suit both music and home-cinema systems. For listeners seeking low-end refinement and premium construction, it brings focused performance without unnecessary complication.
Pros
Sealed 12-inch Flax woofer design promises deep, controlled low-frequency extension to 22Hz.
Substantial 21.5kg cabinet and sealed alignment support tight transient response and solid build quality.

Bass
90/100
No independent reviews provided; score derived from product specs and Focal's flax-cone reputation. 12" Flax woofer with a -6dB point at 22 Hz and ±3 dB response to 24 Hz indicates strong low-end extension and controlled output for a sealed design. Awarded high marks for extension and likely articulation, but not pushed into reference-class territory without comparative reviews.
Dynamics
86/100
No listening reviews supplied; judged from design: closed-box with a 12" flax driver typically yields tight transient response and good control. Focal's flax cone material and cabinet mass (21.5 kg) support strong micro- and macro-dynamics; score reflects likely nimble slam and low compression for its class.

Integration
78/100
Inputs and Auto/On power mode indicate good practical integration tools (stereo line + LFE), but no reviewer outcomes are available. Features ≠ Integration; add outcome evidence or lower Integration. Given the sealed design and adjustable inputs, it should blend well with small-to-medium systems, but lack of listening reports forces a conservative score.
Build Quality
90/100
Based on Focal's typical manufacturing and the unit's solid specifications (weighty 21.5 kg cabinet, dedicated 12" driver), the build appears robust. No review detials provided, so the score assumes high-quality finish and cabinet rigidity consistent with Focal's standard product line.
Features Connectivity
78/100
Offers stereo line inputs plus a direct LFE input and ON/Auto power mode—straightforward, reliable connectivity but no advanced networking, app control or automatic room EQ. Practical and user-friendly for typical AV setups, but lacking higher-end conveniences.
Value for Money
70/100
At the listed price of 2299 (single price point), the Sub 1000F sits at a premium. Performance indicators (22 Hz -6 dB, flax driver, sealed design) justify much of the cost for buyers seeking refinement, but without review-based 'best in class' language the value score is cautious rather than exuberant.
